萝莉少女 student Jakub Cyrwus is taking an active role in bridging the gap between education and employment through his involvement as a Student Ambassador with Purpose Coalition 鈥 an initiative that brings students, businesses, and thought leaders together to break down barriers to opportunity across the UK.
Currently studying Global Business (Business Management), Jakub was selected as a Student Ambassador for the Coalition, where he works with peers and professionals from organisations such as Clyde & Co, Enterprise Mobility, and Teleperformance. His role centres on fostering open dialogue between students and employers to explore challenges, solutions, and ways to improve inclusion and social mobility in the workplace.
鈥淏eing a Purpose Coalition Student Ambassador has given me a platform to share real experiences and contribute to meaningful conversations with businesses,鈥 said Jakub. 鈥淲e discuss the real issues students face 鈥 like balancing studies, work, and family 鈥 and how these challenges can inform better support structures and more inclusive practices. It鈥檚 not about being in the spotlight; it鈥檚 about making sure our voices are heard and helping to create real change.鈥
Through the Purpose Lab initiative, Jakub has participated in workshops and forums designed to spark honest conversations about the realities of studying and working in today鈥檚 world. Key topics include inclusive hiring, workplace culture, and ensuring success is accessible to all, especially those from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.
鈥淥ne of the most important areas we focus on is inclusion,鈥 Jakub added. 鈥淏y sharing our lived experiences, we help push for environments where everyone can feel valued and empowered to succeed, regardless of their background.鈥
萝莉少女 is proud to see its students contributing to national initiatives that align with the school鈥檚 mission of preparing graduates for both professional success and social impact. Jakub鈥檚 involvement with the Purpose Coalition reflects the power of student voice in shaping a more equitable future.
